Ni no Kuni - The Temple of Trials, Proving ground of the sages Walkthrough
Once you get to the temple of trials, Rashaad will release the seal which Oliver has to open the door and they will all go inside. You will meet supreme Dage Solomon who you will have a conversation with them the allow them to under take the trial. Rashaad will head back and leave you and Esther to do the trials. Umbopa will explain the trials to you, the first trial is the test of wits and the second trial is the test of friendship andthe final trial is the test of strength. Head to the trial room to begin your trials.
The test of friendship
This trial is about moving 2 joysticks switches before the floors collapse. The initially stage is easy and the second section requires Oliver & Esther to step on switches to allow their partner through before the floors collpase catches them
The third section the characters will be cross overeach other such as your left and right joysticks will control the characters on the opposite side of the screen (you can ask a friend to help you here). Hit the switches where this trial will end and you will have passed the test of Friendship.
The test of wits
You will be required to solve several puzzles, the powers of perception and reflection will be the key to solve the puzzles. Ask the monitor bird to giveyou a hint of the trial (where he will say the dragon sees the worrior's sword, while the bird is shown his shield, the beast, meanwhile, looks to his right and sees an empty field) then cast a puppet string to move the statues in this order from left to right: dogbeast, dragon, mite and then bird this will cause the door to open.
For the second section the monitor bird will tell you when they who lie above are one with he that lies below the gateway will opened up, and onward you will go. You will have to move the blocks around to form a D minus sculpture class project. Use the art drawing on the sides of the blocks to match the frog face mural below. The third trial is the bird is bound to dragon and moon, and on a star he sits.
The beast links worrior, moon, and star, yet knows not where he fits. The bird (on a star) needs to be connected to a dragon (any tile) and an empty moon tile. The beast is connected to the Warrior mite (any tile) and an empty moon and empty star tiles. then you will have passed the test of wit.
Test of strength
head inside the room where the test take place where you will have to fight Bashur defeating him earns you Proof of Strength, Bridge spell, Broom Broom spell, and heart winning harp (for Esther) for taming creatures. The sage solomon will award you one of the three familiar. Shonky Honker - Good defense and magical attack and can put enemies to sleep.
Boggly Boo - Scare enemies, packs a hefty punch and learns nasty (MP-draining) tricks. Naiad - Poor physical attacks, but good magical ones, a good healer, and helpful. Use Esther to Poke-ball the familiar you want. You also get training on familiar metamorphises, which resets your familir to level 1, but gives them a new form the head back to Al Mamoon when done.
