Huawei P9 has a sleek aluminium unibody design, great camera setup and good battery life. The handset has a large 5.1-inch Full HD screen but feel petite thanks to the small bezels and is 6.95mm thin which is better than a Galaxy S7.
The dual camera is found at the back of the handset which feature 13-megapixels with Leica developed and certified lenses on front. One of the camera sensor is RGB only while the other is monochrome only. With this feature you will get a better black and white image performance and also the setup captures 200-percent more light information, and 50-percent more contract making a better images. However the difference is more apparent on a computer screen rather than smartphone screen.
P9 is powered by Kirin 995 octa-core processor and 3GB RAM which is on par with most of the flagship smartphone.
There is also 32GB on board storage only, but that can be expanded via MicroSD. It has an impressive battery of 3000mAh, according to Huawei, this will lasts around 1.5 days. The device has a USB Type C charging port.
This handset is running Android Marshmallow out of the box with Emotion UI. For those who are price conscious, this smartphone will cost £449 and comes in Mystic Silver and Titanium Grey. The P9 release date is mid-May.
Vodafone has a different version of P9 called the Huawei P9 Plus in Quartz Grey. This version is only available on Vodafone for £549 (4GB + 74GB) or on tariffs from £9 per month.
