What is good
Samsung Tab 10.1 is as thin as the iPad 2 and even lighter, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the sexiest Honeycomb tablet we've seen. Also, it has a 3-megapixel back camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, and powerful dual speakers. The Tab runs nVidia's Tegra 2 platform, with a dual-core 1GHz processor and 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, 1GB of RAM comes with either 16GB or 32GB capacity. Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the best alternative to Apple's iPad we've seen. However Android is less user-friendly and generally more prone to crashing. The hardware is impressive though, and existing Android and Google Apps users will find a lot to like.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs 1.24 pounds compared with the iPad 2's 1.32 pounds. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has one of the cleanest designs we've seen in a tablet. From the front, its 10.1-inch screen is surrounded by its 0.8-inch black bezel and a silver aluminum outline at the edge. In the top middle sits its 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Samsung's first tablet with a 10.1-inch screen, and it looks fantastic. The Super PLS-based display, with its 1280x800-pixel resolution, produces a clear, crisp image, with a wide viewing angle that looks great when Web surfing or browsing the app store.

The interface includes an application tray of commonly used features such as task manager, calendar and music player which can be launched while other major applications are also in use, including large file downloads and document editing.
Hardware
Samsung claims that the Galaxy Tab is the world's thinnest tablet, and this model is 0.2mm slimmer than the iPad 2, and slightly lighter at 589g. For day-to-day use these reductions make little odds beyond marketing, but the Tab is certainly light enough to carry and use for extended periods.
The 10.1in 1,280x800 TFT screen is crisp and bright, with a wide viewing angle and excellent playback of movies and games, although touch control seems to require more pressure than the iPad 2. Operation is poor in bright sunlight, however, in part due to the highly reflective screen cover.
What is bad
There are a few annoyances and a couple of dreadful flaws that make the Galaxy Tab 10.1 into a disappointment. There is the business of the USB connector. Apple's iOS devices famously use a long, flat proprietary connector that provides some easy cash for the company in the form of specialist cable sales, and locks competing devices out of using speaker-docks and other accessories. This is one of my gripes with Apple devices, and the use of standard, cheap, widely available mini-USB cables in Android phones (including the excellent Samsung Galaxy S, which I am delighted to own) is a major selling point for me.
Lack of ports on the tablet will be a problem for some and the plastic back leaves it feeling less solid than the iPad2.
The back of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 sports a 3-megapixel camera at the top and a plain white back. It's the feel of the plastic back that is the most disappointing aspect of the Tab 10.1's design. It doesn't feel as solid as the iPad 2, and as a result, doesn't feel as comfortable in our hands. Still, despite its 10.1-inch screen, the tablet never felt the least bit bulky.
The Tab depending on Wireless, is limited streaming video options with Honeycomb and does not feature an SD card expansion slot.
