Samsung bada is a smartphone platform , which is created for wide range of device, unveiled in 2010. "bada" is a Korean word that means "ocean" and "seashore". "bada" in itself embodies the open possibilities of the ocean: it can accommodate the various applications created by developers and it provides an interesting new space that offers unprecedented enjoyment to its users.
The design
The Wave II measure at 123.9 x 59.8 x 11.8mm. The back plate is mainly comprised of brushed metal, which makes it sturdy and durable. The mobile phone's reliance on signal strength is the black plastic top and bottom. Although the phone is cheapens the overall look but the phone have the added benefit of keeping the phone lighter than if it had metal throughout.
The Wave II is not a thin phone is quite a chunk phone and heavy, though is comfortable to hold but you will notice the weight in your pocket. The phone is ideal for people who are good of misplacing phone or put the phone in a different pocket with this you will know which pocket for sure.
There is three button on front, which is for answers a call, one hangs up and the middle takes you to the main menu. You will find lock/unlock button on the right side and below that, a key dedicated to starting the camera and taking a photo. The up/down volume buttons round off sensible and familiar design.
The Power Engine and Operating System
The Wave II is clocked with a 1GHz processor, uses Bada operating system along which makes swipes result in instant, smooth animations that puts Android to shame in anything but top-end devices.
Bada is not quite as customisable as the former but certainly makes feature phones look very behind the times or android.
The phones comes with per installed software such as Twitter and instant messenger apps compliment the ability to check your emails, listen to radio, watch YouTube videos and browse any pictures you have taken. You also get a number of games to play, including the addictive Edge from Mobigame.
The downside of Bada is that the OS does not have as many apps as Android or iOS. The array of widgets isn't huge, and this is one area in which Bada falls over. Although you can download more widgets from the Samsung store, but there aren't a huge number available and many are charged for.
The Display
The Wave II has 3.7-inch, display is incredibly clear, very touch-sensitive and colour accurate, too, and unless you look at it from a particularly severe angle, it's also bright.
Tap the Widget button at the top of any screen, then turn the screen so it's in landscape mode and you can use the + and – buttons to add up to 10 Home screens or remove any you don't want.
Storage and RAM
The Wave II comes with 2GB of internal storage, which does seems much although the phone has the ability to upgrade via a microSD slot. The phone runs 512MB of RAM.
The Battery
For the moderate use the Wave II battery can last up over two days which is not bad at all.
Camera and Connectivity
The phone has a standard 5-megapixel camera, with 720p video recording which is reasonable and meets basic photography requirements and has a good Video quality is also good.
With a front-facing VGA camera, you can make video calls should you want to do so, and when in a call – of either voice or video nature
The top edge, with its 3.5mm headset jack and covered micro-USB port, is also unchanged from the original Wave, as are the diamond shaped camera and LED light window on the back.
