Samsung Focus S Windows Smartphone : The Focus S looks to be taking a few leaves out of the Galaxy S II's book.

Review

Samsung has declared the first couple of cards for its Windows Phone 7.5 hand; the impressive sounding Samsung Focus S. The Samsung Focus S is only about 8.5mm at its thinnest point, which makes it stylish, beautiful and very easy to slip into the pocket of your tightest jeans.

Engine Room

The Focus S looks to be taking a few leaves out of the Galaxy S II's book. It may not be allowed the dual-core fun of its Android brethren but it should still pack a fairly hefty punch thanks to its 1.4GHz Single-Core processor which runs on WP7.5 Mango and the 4.3-inch screen is of the Super AMOLED variety.


 

The Display

The Samsung Focus S has  4.3-inches Super AMOLED capacitive Touchscreen display having multi-touch . The Super AMOLED screen gives you a razor sharp, cinema quality image. It makes surfing the web and reading texts much easier in bright sunlight. The brilliant display allows you to quickly access the information most important to you with Live Tiles on your start screen.

 


The Design

It also boasts "4G-capable speeds" and comes in almost as skinny as the S II at 8.55mm. The dimention is 4.84” x 2.56” x 0.39”


Imaging

Focus S is equipped with 8 mega pixels internal camera and 1.3 mega pixels secondary camera. Where Primary camera captures your images there secondary camera enables to do the video calls with friend, family and relatives.  Not only can you take beautiful pictures and video, you can also get into the act. Smile!



Software

Focus  running Window 7.5 Mango and Focus integrates beautifully with Microsoft Office® including Outlook Mobile, Bing search engine and Zune. Using the Game Hub, the Focus is the only phone that allows you to play games with Xbox LIVE. And with Office Hub, you can view, edit, share and sync Office documents on the go. Like music and videos? Check out the Music + Video Hub which allows you to play and download music and videos quickly on your phone.

This phone features Bluetooth,Wi-Fi, charging connector, computer synchronization, OTA synchronization, NFC and USB as connectivity specifications.  For internet browsing this phone has a Browser which supports HTML and HTML5. It has built in online support of Facebook and twitter. It is also equipped with music players for playing your favorite audio and video songs.





Storage 

It has 16GB/32GB internal memory with 1GB RAM and there is not any card slot for external memory. Its internal storage is well enough to store your favorites

Battery life

Continuous talk time: Up to 6.5 hr. Battery power consumption depends on factors such as network configuration, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, vibrate mode, backlight settings, browser use, frequency of calls and voice, data and other application usage patterns.

The device will soon go on sale in America for $199.99 on AT&T's network
