Samsung released Samsung Galaxy W, an above mid range Android Gingerbread Smartphone. Most of people who cannot hold on to the price tag of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and other higher end devices I think Samsung Galaxy W is going to be a great choice. The price of the Samsung Galaxy W is great and is worth for the features it offers.
Engine Room
Samsung Galaxy W I8150 runs 2.3 Gingerbread, powered by 1.4GHz Scorpion processor, a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon, Adreno 205 GPU, while the RAM of the phone is 512MB, ditching the SuperAMOLED screen in favor of a standard issue S-LCD should make the Galaxy W more affordable. These specs are quite enough to fuel your tech engines. Despite the powerful processor the Memory is the problem apart from that Galaxy W is one of the best upper mid range phone current available.
Display & Design
The handset is 115.5 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm, weigh only 109.9g. Samsung Galaxy W comes in support of GSM, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, as well as HSUPA 5.76 Mbps.
The 3.7’’ touchscreen boasts a resolution of WVGA (480 X 800 pixels) and a 16 M color display, and internal memory of the phone is 2GB but you can always insert a memory card up to your own discretion. The resolution is pretty much good for a display size of this type. Graphics will look pretty detail and colours will be more accurate and of great depth.
The touchscreen is capacitive and not resistive, making it extra responsive and useful.

Camera
The phone has a 5 megapixel camera with 2592х1944 pixels of resolutions and is supportive of auto-focus. When switched to video recording, the phone can record videos in HD 720p at 30 frames per second.
The phone also has an LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging and face detection attributes and it also has a front-facing camera that is useful for video recording. The Galaxy W can shoot 720p videos @30fps.
Connectivity
It works in both network 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) And 3G (HSDPA). Galaxy W has connectivity features like Bluetooth v2.1, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot data tethering, GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps. The web browser features latest Adobe Flash support, Stereo FM radio with RDS.
The device also has support for all Google Apps and has GPS, A-GPS providing turn by turn voice based navigation. With SNS integration you can link all your friends social networking profile into there contacts in the phonebook.
Memory/ Storage
The device has capacity to support 32GB microSD memory card to store huge amount of data (Images, Songs, Videos, Movies).
Battery
The device is powered by a Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery, which offers good standby time and talktime.
Price
The Samsung Galaxy W is not yet announced. But I am quite sure that it will be below Rs 20,000 in India, $450 in US and 380 pounds in UK.
What Bad
Standard 5.0 MP built-in cam but is supportive of auto-focus. The phone has a powerful processor but the memort (512MB) is a big letdown for the phone, however is ok for a upper mid range phone.
