Aspire S3 comes with Intel Core I Sandy Bridge ULV CPU, the company claim to be the first to market a Core i7 Models, 4GB RAM and the Company will also produce Core i3 and Core i5 version. It is almost impossible to look at Aspire Laptop without thinking of MacBook Air.

Aspire S3 covered with magnesium/aluminium alloy body to keep the thickness down and disperse heat, 13.3in(just like MacBook Air) cell LCD is embedded in the lid. Battery life is claimed to be 50 days in its deep sleep mode. Apire S3 comes with  two USB ports, HDMI output and multiformat card reader..

SD slot

Apire S3 has a metallic look, the sunken keyboard, the sparse port array this is the first time for a windows machine. The keyboard is reminiscent of Apple's chiclet key layout, and like the Air the S3 has an aluminium body, large touchpad placed centrally in the wrist rest are.

Happily that doesn't make it feel too weighty though -- Acer reckons the S3 weighs less than 1.4kg, and having performed a few bicep curls using this slim laptop we reckon it's easily light enough to carry around all day.

Different from MacAir, Aspire S3 has an SD slot and an earphone jack on the side while Air's major ports- two USBs, HDMI are on the back.

you'll get a 240GB SSD drive, though if you desire higher capacity you can opt for a 320 or 500GB HDD with an embedded SSD integrated to the mainboard, dedicated to quick start-up and preserving battery life.

The real deal will be available in late September with prices ranging from €799 to €1199 (£700 for the cheaper model)
